Ah, welcome Little Lady, to your first day of life
On this Earth we hope warms you with its love and its light.

Yes hello, Little Lady, you're a dream. you're a dream
That's come true, Little Lady, Honey-Jean, Honey-Jean.

And what is in store for you just through that door?
It's a life filled with wonder, hopes and laughter galore.

Don't have to dance to the music, if it isn't your tune,
Yes my dear Little Lady, you can shoot for the moon.

There'll be times when some people are not what they seem,
But in time you'll choose good ones to have on your team;
How to know bad from good ones, some will lie, some will cheat,
Just keep looking and learning, you'll find the right ones, my sweet.

You must plan for the future you create in your mind
And leave the doubts that rebuke you in the dust, far behind.

If you're thrown by life's horses, you must get up and ride,
Pick yourself off the floor, and show the courage inside.

You want clean air and water, food pristine and sublime,
Toxic sprays cause disorder in our bodies and minds.

At times you may ponder, and take the wrong turn,
And yes, it can smart, it can smolder and burn;
But you'll reap the great things from the lessons you've earned;
And your fortunes will sparkle with the things you have learned;

There could be more than one love in your life, Honey-Jean,
But hold close love forever, in your heart and your dreams;

I wish you love and green pastures of peaches and cream,
And the wisdom of the Masters, from all they have seen;

And if there's a hereafter, as I've heard there may be,
I'll sing your name from the rafters, Honey-Jean, Honey-Jean.
